ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM

The Duke Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Training Program provides trainees the knowledge, clinical and surgical skills in all areas of orthopaedic surgery necessary to ethically practice either academic or community practice at the highest possible level of competence by the completion of the training program.

 

VISITING MEDICAL STUDENT ELECTIVE

The Duke Orthopaedic Elective Course is available to visiting students who are applying for orthopaedic residency training at Duke.  This is a four (4) week elective requiring the student to rotate on Trauma, Sports Medicine, Adult Reconstruction, Hand/Foot, and at the Durham Veterans Hospital.  Students are required to attend select orthopaedic conferences and take night call. 

 

ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY FELLOWSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS

Duke Orthopaedic Surgery offers fellowships in Adult Reconstruction Surgery, Adult Spinal Surgery, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, and Sports Medicine Surgery.
